Talent Line Up

Some Incredible talent for 2023, take a look at what we have in store.

Winter Grain.png

WINTER GRAIN

Winter Grain: - 12:15pm

We are Winter Grain, a duo originally out of Salt Lake City but now in Manhattan Beach (Los

Angeles) for the last five years. Until recently we have been limited in our scope because Kate

(lead singer) is an Army helicopter pilot. She just finished her last deployment and is retiring

after 20 years. We've been very lucky to have times where we could record and even more lucky

was that time we spent with Ryan Hadlock out of his studio in Seattle (Bearcreek Studio). He's

helped shape the music of some of our favorite artists from Brandi Carlile to Allen Stone and

even Foo Fighters. What Winter Grain does best is taking snapshots of our own life and

harmonizing them -- quite literally. We've played local venues in LA including Hotel Cafe,

Whisky A Go Go, and House of Blues. The festival route has been fun for us and we have been

featured artists for the Wasatch Mountain Music Festival in Utah and POP Festival in Los

Angeles. Curve Magazine highlighted our recording process for our last EP and we are proud of

our queer reality. Though we have just barely gotten back into playing live music again we have

been blessed to see some traction on our Youtube channel with "A Better You" and on Spotify

with "Passenger Seat". Our most recent bit of news is a guitar sponsorship by Enya Music and

we were interviewed in our home for an upcoming documentary.

Though we started as a very bluegrass-influenced project we have let the ocean air wash over us

and meld our newer songs into a more pop arena. Winter Grain is more than a passion project:

it's our entire life and we love being able to share it with others.

ERICA AMBRIN & THE ECLECTIC SOUL PROJECT

Erica Ambrin & The Eclectic Soul Project: - 1:30pm

Erica Ambrin & The Eclectic Soul Project (ESP) are an ever evolving Hip-Hop Soul band from Northern California. The band, formed in 2015 while recording Ambrin’s debut EP Suga, is a collective of musicians from all walks of life – a jam band homage to music. Growing up in Los Angeles with a DJ father, Ambrin’s eclectic taste in music influences her writing – giving you vibes of Erykah Badu, The Fugees, and The Alabama Shakes. ESP’s unique dynamics fuse soulful lead vocals and deeply personal lyrics with high energy band bravado, drawing the audience in for an intimate experience.

ESP has performed all over California and has had the pleasure of opening for iconic musicians such as Nappy Roots, The Wailers, Martin Luther, and Anuhea. After gaining popularity as a contestant on American Idol, Ambrin moved to Maui to record her first hip-hop project Lucid Dreamer, released in 2018. “With R&B and jazz undertones, Ambrin spins lyrical narratives that

are romantic, vulnerable, and insightful.” - Terry Roland, The Journal of Roots Music. Erica Ambrin is currently back in Northern California working on recording two new projects.

Jeffrey Chan

Jeffrey Chan: - 2:45pm

With a sound that is heavily influenced by new wave and synth-pop, Jeffrey Chan is a singer/songwriter/producer who is unafraid to experiment and push boundaries. Having recently relocated to Los Angeles, Jeffrey grew up in Sydney, Australia where his passion for music was first ignited through classical piano lessons from the age of 5, but it wasn’t until later when he began to incorporate his piano training with his love for singing and songwriting. His deep vocals are set against an electronic backdrop, which both contrast and complement one another in telling stories through vivid lyricism and catchy pop melodies.

In a review of Jeffrey’s work Amelia Vandergast (A&R Factory) stated “Jeffrey has what it takes to be the breakthrough artist of the year”. From the release of his debut album FaultLine and the follow-up FaultLine: AfterShock, through to the slew of singles released between 2020 and now, Jeffrey has always proudly been at the centre of all his work; from writing through to recording to editing all the visuals; to ensure that his creative vision is executed to the best of its ability. With the release of his latest singles, Jeffrey has quickly amassed over one million streams in the past two years alone. His most popular single to date You Only Want Me When I’m Gone continues to resonate with new audiences around the world.

Jeffrey has had the opportunity to perform at both smaller events such as local festivals and fairs, through to those on a national scale back home in Australia. Whether he is performing as a solo electronic act behind his synth and workstation, or with his dancers to deliver a high-impact set, his live performances are both energetic and engaging!
